How do guest access codes work exactly?
Guest codes are automatically generated and expire based on your check-in and checkout times — no manual action required on your end. You can also set up separate permanent codes for cleaners and maintenance, and a master code for yourself. Every access event is logged so you always know who entered and when.
How does noise monitoring work without invading guest privacy?
Our noise sensors measure decibel levels only — they do not record audio. You set the threshold that triggers an alert, and you get a phone notification when noise exceeds it. No recordings, no privacy concerns, and no issues with platform policies.
Can guests control the thermostat?
Yes, but within limits you set. You configure a temperature range guests can adjust within (say, 68–78°F) and the thermostat won't go outside those bounds regardless of what a guest tries. When the property is unoccupied, it automatically returns to an energy-saving setpoint.
Do I have to keep paying monthly to use the system?
No. Your system works on its own once installed — your hardware, your data, your control. Our optional managed service plans add proactive monitoring and priority support, but they're a choice, not a requirement.
Can I manage multiple properties from one place?
Yes — every Astrum rental system uses the same platform, so properties you add later slot right into your existing dashboard. Many operators start with one property and expand to their full portfolio over time without any additional setup complexity.
